Neptune City is a borough located in Monmouth County, New Jersey. The borough had a population of 4,869 as of the 2010 United States Census. Based on a March 19th, 1881 referendum, the Borough of Neptune City was created on October 4, 1881. All of Neptune City was included in the boundaries, as well as Avon-by-the-Sea. The southern portion of Bradley Beach was also included. The Borough of Avon-by-the-Sea was created by a bill passed in the New Jersey Legislature. In 1902, the first borough hall was built at the northwest corner on Evergreen Avenue and Railroad Avenue (now Memorial Drive). The United States Census Bureau reported that the borough covered 0.90 square miles of land. Unincorporated towns, places, and localities located within the township include Neptune Heights or Ocean Grove Heights. The borough borders the Monmouth County municipalities of Avon-by-the-Sea, Bradley Beach, and Neptune Township.
The Neptune City Community Center has a recreation room with a game room, exercise area, computer room, TV, special occasion room, and a gym. Neptune City is home to four parks. These include Memorial Park along the Shark River, Laird Avenue Park which was the first playground in Neptune City, Joe Freda Park on Third Avenue, and Adams Field on West Sylvania Avenue. You can also visit recreational places like Little Dog Brewing Company. They are a small craft brewery specializing in German and English-style ales and seasonal beers. Flagship beers include Gesundheit! Altbier, Seafarer’s Stout, DuckBoy Pale, and Local Girl Blonde Ale. Little Dog Beers can be found at select bars, restaurants, and liquor stores throughout New Jersey. The Tasting Room is open Friday (4 – 7 pm), Saturday (1 – 6 pm) & Sunday (2 – 5 pm) for tours, tastings, and retail sales. Beer is available in 32 and 64 oz. growlers, as well as 22-oz bottles. Little Dog has plenty of free parking, is an easy 4-block walk from the Bradley Beach Train Station, and is fully handicapped accessible.

They are a very popular restaurant so you would want to make a reservation first before visiting the place. If you want a more laid-back place to go to or if you’re craving something Italian, you can visit La Lupa Di Roma. Their specialty is their Pizza Calzone Stromboli and they also serve original Italian food and desserts. Neptune City may not be as big as other cities but there are definitely a lot of great places to discover.
