Things To Do in Long Branch, New Jersey

Long Branch can be found in Monmouth County, United States. The 2010 United States Census showed that the population of the city was 30,719. Long Branch was established as the Long Branch Commission on April 11, 1867. It was created from parts of Ocean Township. The New Jersey Legislature incorporated Long Branch as a city on April 8, 1903. This was based on the results from a referendum. Long Branch takes its name from the “long branch” or south branch of the Shrewsbury River. The United States Census Bureau reported that the city had a total area of 6.29 sq. miles, which included 5.12 sq. miles of land and 1.16 km2 of water. Each area and neighborhood has its own unique character. Branchport, East Long Branch, and Elberon are all unincorporated communities and localities that are part or complete within the city. The city’s ongoing redevelopment efforts will see the Lower Broadway area, which is a part of Downtown, become an Arts District.

 

Long Branch, New Jersey, is a long-standing favorite destination for beach fun, sun, and surfing. Long Branch was once known as the “Hollywood of the East”, a place where the best performers of the nineteenth century performed. Today, visitors love the town’s outdoor activities, including the Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park, luxury Pier Village, and theatrical performances at New Jersey Repertory Company. Some attractions are temporarily closed and require advance reservations. Some restaurants offer pickup only. You may not be able to pick up at certain times. One of the destinations you shouldn’t miss is the Seven Presidents Oceanfront Park. This park, which covers 38 acres, is located along the Atlantic Ocean. It offers great surfing and swimming spots, as well as a place to relax under the sun. It’s also a great place to take a peaceful walk along the coast during the off-season. You can also visit Pier Village, which is a grassy area that hosts many events such as concerts, festivals, farmers markets, art and craft fairs, holiday special events, and outdoor movies. Pier Village offers a variety of dining options, from casual to formal, with more than a dozen restaurants.

 

When it comes to restaurants, you can’t miss stopping by the famous Celtic Cottage Pub. The local bar and neighborhood restaurant is located in Long Branch, New Jersey. Although the pub is best known for its Cottage Fries and burgers, it also offers a selection of appetizers like their signature wings. You can also visit Trama’s Trattoria in the seaside town of Long Branch on the Jersey Shore. Trama’s Trattoria uses farm-to-table, local, high-quality ingredients in its dishes, which change on a seasonal basis to ensure optimum taste.
